Well, I was last "seen" here in March...
That's when I discovered facebook, and it is such a time-consumer.
I then went with Len and Scarlet to Georgia to visit family and friends.
We had a great time!!! Scarlet and I were there for over 2 weeks!
Here's a picture of all of us on a riverboat (one of the many modes of transportation Scarlet tried out for the first time).
Aside from visiting family and friends, Len, Scarlet, and I also took a trip to Savannah, GA and loved it!!! The parks there are so beautiful.
Shortly after returning home, I threw myself into dancing again. I performed on the Sierra Madre Playhouse stage in a free-style dance to Phantom of the Opera. I loved doing this (but spent alot of time choreographing and rehearsing). It set me back into loving dance all over again and I joined a studio. I am performing again this weekend in Moultrie Academy's Showcase. I have actually achieved a lifelong goal and got onto pointe in ballet!!! I am very excited for my pointe debut!
In May, my computer at home started acting funny. However, we had no time to look into it, since I had to go back to work. I finished out the school year at my school helping out as a sub. It was nice to see everyone and get back into the swing of normal life. However, I am looking forward to having my own classroom and my own students in August.
After I got out of work in June, we then focused back on our comuter problems. Our computer had worms and hd to stay in the hospital for three days! We got it back and it seemed ok, but then we were spending so much time preparing for Scarlet's 1st birthday and getting a photo dvd slideshow ready for family and friends. It is a very cool slideshow - showing how much progress that little girl has made in one year's time!
On July 4, we spent the night at a fireworks show with my parents. As some of you may know, I grew up with difficulty with my eyes. As many may not know, I was unable to actually see the fireworks in their true 3D form. About 10 years ago, that changed with one final surgery on my eyes - and I will never forget how beautiful fireworks looked to me the first time I really saw them. I cried and cried over their beauty. I never thought anything could be so beautiful!
Until I saw my daughter watching fireworks for the first time! What amazement! She loved them so much - she was so tired, but kept her little eyes open so as to not miss anything...
WHAT BEAUTY!5 days after the 4th was her first birthday. We had a great time at her party and have finally started to swim to the surface again. Unfortunately, she has had a fever for the last 2 days. They say it is due to a reaction to the vaccines. Thank goodness she didnt get all 6 shots at once, but I wish we had stuck to our rule of only one at a time. She is now battling the chicken pox and measles vaccines! We go to the doctor tomorrow and hopefully some light will be shed.
Through all of this, she still shows her strong fighting spirit.
She is almost standing. I should correct myself. She is standing as long as you dont tell her and she is not aware of it. In fact, earlier this evening, I think I saw her realizing for the first time that she can stand and she was practicing. So cute!
So, sorry to all who have checked and rechecked if I have updated. I am now back and hope to keep you updated more frequently!!!
Love to all!
