Scarlet has always been a very happy girl. She is most happy in the morning. These pictures were taken of her just after waking up in the morning. These first two are in her rocking chair (that at night she sees as a torture chamber because it is where we rock her to sleep - the one thing she doesn't want to do, but she does it well!)

This picture is her in her crib seeing me for the first time in the morning. It is so special to get such a smile each morning. I was chatting with my sister-in-law, Stef, yesterday and she said that it seems like I am enjoying parenthood. Well, with a smile like this, of course I am! But honestly, I am feeling so much better than I have in months past. I really hope that all of the dark clouds are gone! So far, the skies have been looking clear!
